I need someones honest and non-biased opinion please. My son is a 2010 who signed with a top 10 D1 program. He was invited to attend the PerfectGame World Showcase this weekend in Ft Myers. We just got a call from a team who is wanting him to workout for them this weekend as well. The MLB team will have 8 reps including Director of Scouting, National Crosschecker and Asst GM in attendance. He can do both because the schedules conflict with each other. Which one will he benefit more from? This is a tough situation to be in.

Tough spot to be in, I am sure there are many here who would love their sons to be in that tough spot.

I could probably guess the team that wants your son to attend the workout, which most likely will have many in attendance. They do this every year and it includes players from around the state. Then if interested, they will ask your son to attend a few sessions, which might appear to give the illusion they are interested. It's sort of like those camp invitations, but free.

I can't tell you what to do, that is a personal decision, but just remember what really counts will be your son's spring season.

Best of luck.
