It should be going up sometime this afternoon. A bunch of us are in Florida (Ft Myers) right now. The list is done and our tech people back in Iowa are getting the info off our database now. Wish I could be more exact about a time.

Note: Everytime an updated list comes out, it seems like a lot of people get irate. Sometimes we do make a mistake because the lists are database driven and one code number typed wrong and a mistake happens. It sometimes takes a week or so to get any mistakes corrected.

If anyone who sees these rankings has a concern, please email us rather than taking out your frustration on the messageboard. It's hard to answer questions on a messageboard when all the info isn't included. Things like... "You guys don't know anything, you're idiots" are kind of hard to respond to without knowing exactly why we are so stupid. Thanks.

BTW, For any naysayers, there are players on the list who have never been to a PG event. Yes, there are players we miss at times. Yes, there might be a few that we rank too high. All the players listed unless there is a database error have a lot of talent. Thought I'd get that out of the way ahead of time. Smile

spartan,

We scoured our scout notes from the Jupiter Tournament, but there is still some film to watch and notes to go over again from that tournament. To answer your question, the new rankings include as much as possible right up until last week and that does include most of what took place in Jupiter. There will be constant changes and some complete updates from now right up until the June draft. Last year we ended up with over 2,500 on the list and this year might be even more. Our goal is to have it as accurate as we can from April until June. Things will change, they always do.

BTW, Our tech guy has run into a few data tranfer problems, but he is hoping to get everything up ASAP. He is working on it and won't stop until it's up!
Thanks PG I just checked them out. I dont think anyone follows NC HS baseball any closer than I do. I was simply amazed at how accurate the NC rankings are imo. Absolutely tremendous job of covering HS baseball and its players.

I can not imagine the amount of time and effort it takes to do something like this nationwide. As I scrolled down the list of players (1,403) I couldnt help but notice how many of these young men I have actually seen play. From Cinn at the National Showcase , Ft Meyers Underclass Nationals and all the WWBA events over the last three years.

Awesome job PG.
PG - Just wanted to say that you guys do a great job. It's funny how people will react sometimes, as you stated in your earlier post. I can't imagine the discussions and reviews you must have to rank the ballplayeers.

I've been following the lists for a few years and you guys do a better job than the other services, I think. The players I'm familiar with are ranked similar to way I would rank them, comparitively. I notice that when a players seems to be higher or lower that seems to get adjusted over time.

The list is always something of a 'strawman' and will always generate some feedback that PG can consider. As long as the feedback is constructive....
