I'll second that. My 2018 was in awe.
Thank you guys, it really is a special event with very special kids. We don't have anything to do with how talented these players are, but it sure is fun watching them. This year the RedSox leased out every suite. First time I have ever been to an event where more people were in the suites than outside.
This event is my personal favorite. So many young players that have become Major League stars. Scooter Gennett's dad showed up and gave me an autographed bat that Scooter wanted me to have. It was a special edition bat commemorating his 5 for 5, 4 HR, 10 RBI game. I'm not much of a collector, but that gift meant so much to me. I still remember Scooter hitting balls into the upper deck at the Metrodome when the PG National was held there. Just didn't seem possible someone his size could do that.
I will never get tired of watching young baseball players. The future of baseball is in great hands. Just seems like most of the best players these days are special both on and off the field.
For those interested, ROOTHOG's boy is a big, strong RHP that reminds me of Stephen Strasburg when he was in HS. His best years are ahead of him.
BACKDOORSLIDER's boy is a tall lean pitcher that is truly one of the very best prospects in the country. Kind of cool how he (BDS) doesn't talk about his son much here. BTW, his travel team catcher reminds me of a more athletic Matt Wieters. One of the very best HS catchers I have ever seen!

Incredibly kind of you, PG. We've never had a bad experience with Perfect Game and the exposure has an immeasurable value. Just to illustrate, my 2018 was a little disappointed with his performance (I think he is unfairly comparing himself to some really top-flight high draft picks), there doesn't seem to have been any reason for disappointment. The phone has been basically ringing of the hook since yesterday. He's received about a dozen calls precipitated directly from yesterday.
A note, the funny thing is the thing he found most disappointing was that his second inning was an 8-pitch inning ("When do I ever do that?"). Lol.
ROOTHOG,
His arm works, he showed some command of his fastball. Looks like he will throw mid 90s at some point. I think he was overdoing his breaking ball a bit. Happens a lot when kids want to throw the best curve or slider of thir life at these type events. Sometimes they even lose command of the fastball because of the same reason. But he buried the fastball when he needed to. Over all, I would say pretty darn good outing. Can't be very many uncommitted pitchers that are that good. Hope things work out well.

Thank you for the comment. I shared that with him. I don't think I'm overstating it at all when I say that this event was life-altering. Recruiting had dried up when he missed the fall. This picked it right back up.
I'm loving' this story... Junior may not be cut from the same cloth as these boys/young men but I love hearing good things happen to good people who project good things...
PGStaff, I sent you a PM
