PG - Northeast Showcases? | High School Baseball Web

Trying to decide which PG NE Showcase for my 2016 to attend and I have some questions that I hope the community or PGStaff can answer. There are 2 showcases scheduled on the same days at the same location and called 2 different things:

1) Northeast Top Prospect Showcase - 8/15 - 8/17 at New England Baseball Complex

2) Northeast Underclsss Showcase - 8/15 - 8/17 at New England Baseball Complex

What is the difference? Which one is more appropriate for my 2016?

He has not attended any showcases to date but has been to 3 PG tournaments and will attend 3 more this summer / fall. He wants to "request an invite" but just not sure to which one given we don't know the difference.

My advice, contact Jim Arp (jarp@perfectgame.org) at PG. I did in reference to my son and was told as a 2017, he had to attend the Underclass. I don't know if it is different for a 2016 at this point, but I can say Jim will get back to you quickly.

I just asked about this myself. My son is also 2016. Jim advised me of the same thing. if this is his first showcase, then the underclass is what he should attend. Maybe we will see you there. My problem is the only showcases we can attend without major travel are scheduled for when he has tournaments. The one week he is free is the national top prospect showcase but he can't attend because they have not seen him yet.

ETA: maybe since your son has played in tournaments at they have info on him? The best idea is to call Jim as NYdad said
