Looked back at the ratings of a state PG showcase my son attended before his freshman season began a couple of years ago. Wasnt familier with any of the players at the time of the showcase, but became familier with some of them over the last couple of years. Of the kids I became familier with, the ratings from PG have turned out to be remarkably accurate. Kids rated from 7.5-9.0 are playing at D1 schools and one kid rated a 6 is not playing college ball

Where was your son's ranking?
What's the point? According to PG, a 6 ranking means a player is a possible D1 prospect and a definite D2 prospect.

Being familiar with the players and all, why didn't this player go on to college ball? According to PG, he should've been able to play at some level in college.

There are tons of high school players who have potential to play at some level of college ball but don't for one reason or another. I know one real well.
