I can only say it is selective. We are looking for the very best players possible. So my guess is your son is very talented.
I have no idea how well it will be scouted.
I hear questions like this all the time and I just really need to say this. Hope it comes across the right way. We have a tremendous amount of credibility and influence when it comes to professional and college baseball. If we like a player nearly everyone is going to like that player. So the truth is when we see something good, pretty much everyone involved in making decisions know about it. They might not be at that event, but they will make it a point to see you. In other words, interest is created. We have well over 800 players we have seem make it to the Big Leagues. When that happens you get real good at evaluating talent and everyone knows that. It just means the players we like, pretty much everyone will like. And we tell everyone who we like!
A few years ago an overweight pitcher originally from Cuba came to a PG event. We didn't know him at all. By the end of that season everyone in baseball knew about him. He went in the first round and now is one of the best RHPs in the Big Leagues. Before that we had a tall skinny lefty show up at one of our smaller events. After that we invited him to bigger things. Before he was done college or pro was the decision. He is now a star reliever for the Yankees.
That is the biggest difference between PG and other events. If a player has talent we make sure all the right people know about it. And those people can't afford to ignore it, based on our track record.
