Who is your son and for whom did he play? My son's team was the Jacksonville Stars - we had a total of 9 runs scored against us - the problem was that we scored only 3! My son was being saved for the semi's. Bad decision because we didn't make it. He did pitch in the consolation game - threw four innings, gave up one hit (single), one unearned run, and we lost 1-0. We played the Dirt Bags (in the final four) in our first game and lost 1-0. Fun though!

It's really fun hearing these highlights from the underclass tourney. In a very short time, these young guys will be the ones considering their options for college baseball. Congrats to all of the players and parents!

Sherman my son told me he thought your team was one of the best they played all weekend. He played for the Dirtbags and actually got the hit that drove in the games only run. He just called me and told me they lost 3-2 in the semi's.

Coach May, we actually met some of the Dirtbags 17's players Friday night, as they were watching the DB16's in the game that preceded ours. I was talking to L.J.H. and his dad in particular. Sorry you weren't there to meet, too. Ask your son if he was in that group, maybe we met and didn't realize it!

I will ask him MidloDad. LJ is a great kid isn't he. His dad is great too. Hopefully we will get the chance to meet soon. In the mean time tell your son I have heard alot of great things about him from people that were at the event. Best of luck. Coach May

Coach May, I appreciate your son's kind words. This tournament was one of those situations where you get a lot of one element and absolutely none of another. Our pitching was great - our hitting was...uh, no where to be found. We actually lost twice 1-0. Of course, some of that was due to good pitching from the other teams. Anyway, good luck to you and your son's journey.
