Son's team will not get a slot at Jupiter later October. Some have said for a group of 2013's that The World Underclass Oct 7 in Ft Meyers is almost as good since our kids are not the type that are catching the eyes of MLB scouts and that they are 2013's. We do have 5-6 that are possible mid level D1's

Will PG World Underclass be a good option? Everyone seems to say Jupiter is the place to be. The underclass event is mainly held at the Redsox complex. How many college coaches would you typically see during this event at the complex at one time? For instance at the PG 17U BCS we ussually had 2-5 coaches taking a look. Do the mid level type schools have coaches at this event or is it more SEC ACC southern dominated? How many D1 schools will this event attract?

Any thoughts/experiences on this event would help as we are trying to make a $$ decision as a team on wether or not to participate in this event. Would appreciate anyones experience with PG World Underclass. Have spent a lot of $$ this year and sending a boy down with parent for the tourney rings up another $1500 when you add in flights/rental car hotels tourney fees meals on the road.

Thanks

My son had a great experience there a couple of years ago. VERY well attended by eager scouts and coaches. Only drawback is that there are some out of the way venues that you don't get in Jupiter. Very large event. You must let coaches know where and when you will be playing and that you are interested in their school. Know the NCAA rules on face to face communication at a tournament before you go.
