hotel ping pong tournament is how our team has passed the time.

Anyone know how they decide which teams get scheduled as fields become available?  we haven't even been scheduled yet.  just put "on call".  not sure having a game scheduled and then cancelled is better though other than passing time.

one thing is for sure, I'd hate to be the ones scheduling all of this.  reminds me of the "recalculating GPS insurance guy".  recalculating every hour on the hour.

It is difficult communicating with everyone in Georgia and keeping up with this message board. But I know many people are wondering. We have just released to the teams our plan starting with tomorrow.

We still plan to get everyone the most possible games over the next 5 days, but we will start a single elimination tournament that will include all the teams. This means the team that wins the championship will need to win 8 games in 5 days. At the same time it will not sacrifice games for those teams that lose out in the single elimination, they will be scheduled with other teams that have lost. And at the end we hope we have a champion. This schedule will work, even if we have some more rain tomorrow.  However, we do need at least three decent day. The weather looks more normal starting with Tuesday. We have several games starting at 9am tomorrow.

I apologize if I don't reply quickly to questions here, it's just that this situation has kept us hopping.

we're hoping we get a game at East Cobb.  unfortunately we lost yesterday and our game this morning was cancelled due to field conditions.  sitting by the phone hoping to get the call for another time and place.

I know PGstaff and team are doing their best in this unfortunate situation, but, it just seems lopsided when you've only gotten one game while others are starting their 3rd today.

sorry, i don't mean to complain.

edit: just got rescheduled for 7pm tonight.  thanks PG
