There is no one size fits all. Different showcases are better for different type of players, and different positions. Budget counts, too.

My son has attended Demarini, Perfect Game, and Headfirst showcases. The best one for him was Headfirst, because it provides position players with good exposure, he is strong academically, and is interested in relatively smaller, academically oriented colleges. I hear the Stanford camp is quite good as well.

If he was a flame throwing pitcher, then a local PG event might have been the best fit, especially if he wasn't particular about which colleges will see him.

He had a good experience at Demarini, which we liked because we knew in advance which coaches would be attending.

All three of these are expensive, but those are the ones I can speak about from personal experience.

This quesion usually sparks quite a debate, so we will see who is watching the boards these days.
Son has been to both Perfect Game and Top96. Both are great showcases. He seemed to like the format of the Top96 better in the beginning with coaches on the field with him, and then also liked the Perfect Game format last time we went. Both seem to have great results. We also attended several Blue/Grey showcases over the past couple of years. They seem to get the word out but the attendance seems to be less. Top 96 is more of a camp than showcase but does seem to give the exposure they need.
My 2014 son attended his 1st showcase earlier this month. It was the Trosky 30 College Games showcase held at Palomar College in San Marcos,Ca.I thought it was well run and a great experience for my son. There were 140 players and 30 college coaches from D-1,D-2,D-3,NAIA,and JUCO.The colleges were primarily in California with the exception of University of Washington & University of Portland.Coach Acosta of St.Mary's gave a very good talk about the recruiting process and fielded questions from parents.Steve Springer closed the showcase by giving the boys a great talk about hitting & the mental aspects of the game.

Also, the optional Friday night was really cool too.Nate Trosky had 3 guest speakers, a hitting coach/Cinncinati Reds scout,Jason Clements assistant baseball coach at Cal State San Marcos talked about infield play/drills,and former major league catcher Troy Afenir spoke about catching/drills.All of them fielded questions and were very approachable.A great way to spend a Friday night Smile

I would definitely send my son to another Trosky showcase.
