Well last year there weren't many Sox fans, then there were more Sox fans, then even more Sox fans, then fewer Sox fans, and near the end of the season, just a few Sox fans, then there were more Sox fans, and then even more Sox fans and finally there were scads of Sox fans, many of them apparent tranfers from the Chicago Fire S****r Team.

Before it starts.....announce your allegiance....Sox or Cubs?

Cubs all the way! No fair weather fan here! Good or Bad I'm here to stay. I won't be like those fans from the other team who all of a sudden became their biggest fans this last year. So to all of you and you know who you are and thanks for coming out of the closest and proving to us Cub fans what we already knew and that's what kind of fans you really are!
I am with CoachB25, Bulldog and JustLearning...GO REDBIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, as I see it, I am the northernmost fan (you can take the boy out of St. Louis, but you can't take St. Louis out of the boy). Can't wait to see the REDBIRDS in Milwaukee and at the new ballpark this summer (do you really think that I would walk into Wrigley...they play minor league ball in Kane County and Schaumburg too).
Amazing that FB cub fan even shows up with this thread around here....especially after you were so involved with jumping on the Sox band wagon in 2005.

Fastball, if your not a lawyer or shrink, you should have been....go back and read all your "I really am rooting for the Sox" BS that you posted last year. The paragraph that begins this thread truly defines your band wagon board persona!

Now....go get on board from the start with the other 5 or 6 cub fans and call Tom Tunney. He'll probably help get a "rainbow parade" going for you fellow's. I'll lend you a pink cubs hat, seeing as you have obviously been under too many tanning machines!....LOL.

Come on Soxnole...you know I was only kidding with you.

And Tom Tunney seems like a very nice guy. Extremely nice. I have no idea what youa re talking about with the rainbows.....please explain.

And no I'm not a lawyer or a shrink, but by the end of the regular season last year a shrink could have made a mint off of Sox fans jumping out the windows.
I was listening to the radio and Kenny Williams was being interviewed. It went something like this:

Radio Guy: You had a great season Kenny. Tell us how you did it.

KW: I think it is important....uh..by the way did I tell you that I'm an intelligent man? Well, it's important....even paramount, you know I'm smarter than you are, right? Now I must tell you that we have to be cognizant of the facts. And the facts are ....well not to be reduntant that the level of my intelligence requires me....no ...even more ...makes it of utmost importance that I tell you again that my genius...no, that's too strong...my....well it is genius allowed me to make the extremely difficult choices...I mean who besides me know that Bobby Jenks was so good? When you are in my position, you must understand that careful, insightful management instills in the players a level of understanding that while not on my level, allows them to perform as they did. Now mind you, Ozzie had something to do with it, but nonetheless even though the fans may not have understood me until we won, you have to understand that the fans will not and may not understand my genius...no maybe not genius...well I suppose there is no other word..it is genius. I told Frank when I played with him that some day he would answer to me because I knew he didn't deserve all that attention because it was me who was the more intelligent man. Thanks....winning the World Series was truly a team effort, but I can honestly say that it was my plan all along.

I realize that Kenny makes you fellow's nervous and you are more comfortable with Mr. Secrets over in Mr. Tunney's neighborhood....but with regard to performance? Kenny get's very high marks in as competitive an environment as there is in a very tiny good ol boys neighborhood.

That said,he is,like Frank, very high strung and immature compared to his contemporaries. The "idiot" comment has made him look like Frank has the best of him....and Frank handled the last word with aplomb.

Bottom line is that based on value to and his place in the organization, alone, Frank does not deserve the girlish BS so long after it was dead and buried. I hope we win in 2006 but I hope Frank has success as well.
