I am a contributor on many Internet Bulletin Boards... On many subjects....

This is the only board that I know of that calls it's members "websters"

The origin of HSBBWeb and the term "websters" ......

I am sure that it is original to these forums, although probably not used solely on this site. Back a long time ago the site had a member by the name of Cliff Hanson. One evening he posted a thread that started with the phrase "Hello Websters"

I liked it better than using the stuffy term "members" so it stuck.

Just a little HSBBWeb history lesson.
