Pine tar on bat...

I have pine tar up the part of the bat that it after the grip ends, and before the real barrel starts. How far up can it go for HS rules, because this fall league were playing in uses HS rules.

I don't have my book in front of me but I believe it is 18 inches. Maybe PIAA, 3fingers or one of the other guys can verify that for me.

18 inches is correct. But dont expect many of us to go looking for it or measuring it.

The Brett Pine tar incident pretty much cleared that up. The user of a bat with excessive pine tar is not out or ejected...the bat is just reomoved from play...
