Taylor Sewitt of the Manhattan Jaspers was named National Player of the Week for his yeoman effort over the weekend leading the Jaspers to the MAAC championship and the conferences automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Sewitt, a 6'3" 195lb Sr. pitched a 9 inning complete game on Friday (106 np), 2 innings in relief on Saturday (37 np), and 11 innings in relief (153 np) on Sunday in the championship. He was the winning pitcher in all three games. Total pitches = 296. All 22 innings were scoreless!!
