I wished pitcher's had to pitch on an intentional walk. When a head coach tells the umpire to put a kid on base, that just seems to easy. I have seen pitchers have trouble with this and throw the ball to the back stop or lob it into the dirt. My frustration comes from watching a underclassman get intentionally walked this spring, because of a rather weak lineup.

And NAIA, if your son advances and plays at that level

Are you a coach?  Suggest to your state that they propose a rules change to the FED.  That's how the rules get modified.
