Yes that's right.

In a district game yesterday my son's team played against a rival team where the pitcher threw a no hitter into bottom of sixth with 2 outs.  4 runs scored on throwing error and walks in the sixth until he was pulled.

My son pitched for our team and had a two hitter,  no walks and 86 pitch count for a complete game.

I watched that Andy Hawkins loss in 1990. The weird part was how his teammates were sheepishly congratulating him for the no-hitter...in the dugout. That was just one sad part of a very sad season.

A friend and I were at the Red Sox game Monday. We were roommates in San Diego back in our 20s. When Take Me Out To The Ballgame was played without prompting we both sang, "If the Pads don't win it's the same" and busted out laughing. We've been to more Padres games together than Red Sox games.
