You are mistaken dtiger - that was his son, Michael, who gave up that homerun. Can't say enough good about Mike for his pitching instruction. He is great not only with mechanics but also with the mental apsects of the game.
Before committing to a coach, observe some of his students (those who have been with him for a couple of years or more) in game situations. Analyze what you observe.
And when you start with one, listen closely to what he teaches. Appropriately question anything you don't understand, or that doesn't make sense.
Without a doubt, Danny Florence at Frozen Ropes McKinney. I'm sure Danny's instruction is the main reason my son is a starting college pitcher right now.
It is hard to come up with any list of pitching coaches in the metroplex and not name Linty Ingram at Centerfield. I'd say he has turned out a stable full of studs!
I also have to second Danny Florence at Frozen Ropes as Little Badman owes most of his success to working with Danny and also John Briscoe up at Frozen Ropes. Both are a couple of the top pitching instructors in the Metroplex.
Ringer1 son pitched all the way up to his freshman year and hung up the pitching glove.
He decided late in his junior year to start pitching again. We sent him to Danny Florence and the result has been nothing but phenominal. It sure doesn't hurt we have a really great defensive team as well.
My son has taken lesson's from both L. Ingram and from D.Florence they both are great!!!!!!!!!!!. The way I see it it's a choice of which one you can get lesson time from?????????
