Baseball Academy of Rockwall has two very good guys in Damien or Matt.

Linty Ingram is the best by far. No contest.

Mike Bacsik would be an excellent choice and he is in Arlington. Mike is a former MLB pitcher and does an excellent job with mechanics and the mental game!

Bacsik is the best. He knows how to get the best out of the player. The nice thing about Mike is he wants the player to work and not go through the motions. If the player does not want to work then i suggest they go to someone else. He is straight forward with the parent and the player.

Could you also recommend a batting instructor?

Chin Music ----- every name mentioned on this post is very qualified with great reputations in the DFW baseball world. My suggestion is to find someone who your son connects with. If you live in Frisco you might try Gator up at DBAT/Frisco -- kids enjoy working with him. Just about all the instructers at DBAT, FR, Centerfield, etc.. are quality individuals who know the game well.

Cade has help make my son a great hitter! His instruction is the best!

I didn't realize Ortiz was available for instruction. Wasn't he with the Angels player dev last year?

I too highly recommend Luis Ortiz at Swing City in Keller for hitting. My son has been working with Luis since age 14 and is now playing D1 baseball and doing well. If you're on the West side of the metroplex I'd suggest you seriously consider him.

Yes he is available, but now is at spring training but with the Rangers not the Angels.

I recommend Mike (Rookie) Boughton for Hitting and Allen Davis (Skill Center Mansfield) or Randy Davis (Varsity Asst. at Mansfield High) for pitching.

I also recommend Curt Sanders for hitting.

Where is Rookie now. Last he was using the facility of Tommy Hernandez. Do you know if he is still working with the Dodgers?

Rookie is in Florida with the Dodgers as one of there hitting instructors. He is a good one.

I agree 1stBaseDad, Rookie is a good one. My son had him when he was out at Field of Dreams in FM for several years but now is using Luis at Swing City. If anyone needs Rookie's cell or Swing City phone's you can PM me.
