Hey all. My son is a OF/pitcher finishing up his senior year of high school. He is playing ball in college next year and we are looking for some suggestions on good pitching instructors in the NOVA area. He's played travel ball and we are familiar with Snyders and Rip City. Anybody else good out there? Appreciate any suggestions.

I sent you a dialog.
Thank you! We will look into him.
The Pinkmans (John, Jeff and Pat) are simply the best. They are now located over at Diamond Elite in Sterling, VA.
R & D Baseball is fantastic as well. Rob Riley does a great job
What is your goal for the pitching instructor (technique, new pitch, velocity)?
I hope you go to someone that uses a gun to measure improvements.

Both Rob and Dan are fantastic. I know there are other good instructors out there, but I can directly attribute much of my son's success to these 2, as well as a bunch of other players I know.

I'm confused. Why wouldn't you ask the staff of the college he will be playing for what they would suggest? They may prefer that he work directly with their pitching coach. After all, he will be playing and pitching for him/them, right?!
Anyone with recent experience with R&D? Thinking of checking them out for my son.
My son has worked with them for years and still does in the off season. IMHO, if you are in the area and interested in top flight instruction, give them a shot. Great guys on top of being great coaches. Son is a recent D1 grad getting paid a little bit to keep pitching. He will be back in their fold late September when his season is over. He's been with Rob and Dan since the 10th grade I think. I can't say enough good things about them.

Yes, my son has worked out with Rob and Dan for 2.5 years (dropping him off at school for freshman year tomorrow). They are the best. My son absolutely loves them. No brainer (assuming no $ or distance issues). It's not cheap, but we def got return on investment. Not only what they teach and train (cutting edge) but how they go about it - enthusiasm, etc. Those two taught my son so much, and his motivation level skyrocketed when he started there. Through the winter, he would drive 45 minutes each way 3x per week (sometimes in horrible weather). He hates missing R&D workouts. My son will continue to work with them on breaks through his college years.

Addendum:
What you really care about: son +8 mph in 2.5 years with R&D.
Thanks Bucsfan, you read my mind.
This summer my son is staying with a host family in Alexandria who has a rising 9th grader that is interested in working with a pitching coach in the Nor Va area. Are the Pinkmans and R&D still the top recommendations? Any others ? Thanks
