Pitching is Overrated

Well if it's the Yankee's against the Red Sox then I always want it to be a slugfest with the Yanks on top....as usual!

Pitcher's duel, no doubt. I like Boston with all their history. I really wanted to see the Red Sox make it to the World Series. It's hard not to like the Yankees. Say what you want, they are the most successful franchise in history and you have to admire that. I really don't follow the American League closely. Is Boston REALLY the best team the AL could put up against the Yankees? It just seems that at this point the games should at least be competitive.

Personally I like to see good pitching be flavored by some good hitting, good base running, and some good defensive plays. I like to see the whole team get involved in the game.

Precisely, AParent. I doesn't have to be one or the other.

As CoachB25 will agree, for a balance of quality hitting, defense, small ball, baserunning, and pitching, the NLCS is putting on quite a show. That would be the Cardinals and the Astros.....I feel I need to mention it because the media sure as heck isn't. (But I'm not bitter )

The baseball over rated? LOL

Good baseball is good baseball, regardless of which side is being showcased.

P.S. Saying pitching is overrated is like saying that oxygen is "sort of important" to humans!
