Three pitchers have decided not to continue playing for team USA. Their combined innings this year (college season and summer) is around 388. That to me is unbelieveable. With some nagging stuff going on and the summer not over after speaking with their college coaches, they decided not to continue on. I say good choice. Some may not agree.

Playing for Team USA is a great honor and a terrific experience and gives you great exposure for next years or the following draft for draftable players.

Last year I could not beleive how many innings some pitchers put in at the cape, along with big loads from the season, then lots of innings this year, many were having trouble by the end of their college season.
I noticed today only a few pitchers who put in significant time last season with high inning counts, one pitcher close to 140. I also notice some that put in lots of time last season have left, same situtation as the above mentioned players?

Playing at the cape, member of Team USA are opportunities of a lifetime. But I am glad to see some of these players listened to their bodies, maybe their folks, maybe their coaches.

Maybe things are changing.
