Very real. Yeah, Darlington won 2 state titles and tons of games at Morris but he alienated a bunch of people along the way.
Despicable comments by assistant who said "how can they do this to a legend" and blathered on about how many scholarships "he" got for players over the years. The players with the talent got the scholarships, not Darlington.
Cheating is cheating. Goes on alot but when you make enough enemies someone always waiting & watching to bite you in the rear.

I heard that no one said anything at Morris because most of the parents were afraid. Wasn't he the AD, too?

that's what people should get for believing they are above the game. It is a shame for the new football program at PN but the coach got what he deserved. And I don't want to open pandora's box here, but with all the talk of catholic schools recruiting..how does a public school get caught first?
Because if you look, you'll see that the article states the Superintendent of the School District reported it. That's how Plainfield got caught. Why the private schools don't get reported--- good question.
