I would just like to let everyone on the boards know that I am now the owner of Play Ball USA in Des Plaines, IL. Many of you might be fimiliar with Play Ball, and some of you may never have heard of it, but either way I would like to invite all of you in to the facility to check it out and at very least say "hello" and take a few hacks.
Below is the letter I wrote to our "family", I think it spells out how I feel about my position and how fortunate I feel to be able to do what I do for a living:

Play Ball Family,
I am excited to announce that as of Friday, August 8th I have taken the reigns as the new owner of Play Ball USA.
Four years ago I came into Play Ball as a curious customer who was looking for a place to hit in the off-season; what I found inside was an environment that made me feel so at home that I did not want to leave. Within five minutes of meeting Ron Cacini I was offered a position as an instructor and I have been a part of the family ever since. My passion for helping athletes develop is second only to my desire to steer impressionable young men and women down the right path in life. There is nothing more gratifying than being able to impact the lives of so many through a game that I love so deeply.
So today is the beginning of a new era for Play Ball USA. The mission remains the same, the game goes unchanged, but a new chapter is being written. I look forward to seeing the familiar faces in the near future, and anticipate having the opportunity to refresh relationships that have gone astray.
Please join us as we celebrate this upcoming Saturday (August 16th) at our Family Fun Fest which is being held in conjunction with Ama Dancers (the dance studio located next door to Play Ball). Festivities begin at 1:00 PM.
