Is there a rule in Little Leauge or High School baseball that prohibits playing in both leauges at the same time. Explain my son is a member of a 6 man HS freshman team bench and does not get any playng time 2 Innings out of 35 so far. He is eligable for LL juniors where he would be a starter and most likley be an allstar.I know HS is the first commitment, was wondering if he could practice and play games with his Junior team when he is Idle with his HS team.I know he would need the coaches permission, but did not want to ask if there are rules against that sort of thing.

Here in AZ, Rec Leagues for HS aged kids don't start until the HS season is over to avoid conflicts. The LL junior's season starts after JR high ball ends in late March. The senior's don't start until around May 1, after the HS season ends.

Even if you were so inclined, you couldn't find a club ball tournament or rec league for HS aged kids in AZ during the HS season.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that all our best fields are tied up with MLB /MiLB spring training between the beginning of February and the end of April...

The only possible enticement would be the 14U eligible freshman playing down. The penalty in AZ is 1 year of eligibility (by rumor). I've never confirmed it or even thought about risking it.
