I have a pretty touchy matter that I need help with. My son attended a showcase with some other players of his travel team. My son had a terrific bp session, hitting 2 deep balls, 1 over the left fielders head, one over the centerfielders. This was at a major league park. I think they had 10 swings, 1 was a grounder all others into the outfield including the 2 others already mentioned.

His one teammate had a terrible bp session. His mom said after he was done "that wasn't very good". None of his hits were deep at all. Even he was pretty upset after his poor session.

Here is the situation; when they listed the top hitters during the bp session, they listed his friend not him. In this players write up, they mention his couple of deep hits which he did not have.

This was a pretty big showcase. Does my son say something to the people who ran this showcase or does he leave it alone. I do not expect the other player to say anything. Please help, my son is pretty upset about this. He only had 2 at bats at this showcase, so the bp session was pretty important. I posted in the showcase forum some history about the showcase he attended. Maybe if you read that post you will get a better feel.

Thanks in advance for any help.

We had a similar situation about a year ago. We very, very politely asked it there had possibly been a mistaken, and explained what we believed had happened. The people who ran the showcase immediately agreed there had been an error, corrected it, and thanked us for letting them know.

They are only so many people and mistakes will happen. In our experience, they just wanted to get it right and if we hadn't brought it to their attention they never would have known.
Thanks to all of you. PGSTAFF, I took your advice and e-mailed PG. I hope they will correct this matter. My son is not a prime position player and works very hard to get noticed with his swing. I think it was very understandable how the mistake was made because they batted out of order.

I even video taped his bp session and looked it over again before I e-mailed them. The top bp hitters description of the swing and physical attributes is my son to a "t".
