I know it's still early, but maybe this will prompt some conversation on here that has something to do with baseball instead of who does the laundry.

5-5A is still up in the air, with Keller on top at 7 and 2

Colleyville Heritage, Southlake Carroll and Denton Ryan all tied up at 6 and 3

It's going right down to the last game again this year in this district.

How about the rest of you guys and gals.

From The South Plains:

4-4A With 4 games each to go

Frenship 6-0
Andrews 5-1
Lubbock Estacado 2-4
Plainview 2-4
Big Spring - Either 2-4 or 1-5
San Angelo Lake View - Either 2-4 or 1-5

2-5A

Lubbock Coronado And Amarillo High with only one loss each (to each other) with one more head to head coming. 7-1 or 6-1 each.

Lubbock Monterey 4-4
Amarillo Tascosa 2-5
Lubbock High 0-8
10-5A seems very clear...

Newman Smith as #1 seed;
Creekview should be #2,
Lake Highlands #3

If Lake Highlands can beat Creekview and Creekview also falters late, 2 and 3 could flip. Odds are, however that it will be 1-2-3 as listed above.

Going into playoffs, NSHS and Creekview seem to have the pitching to go deep into the playoffs. Don't be surprised to see them run into each other a couple of rounds in...
Monterey took a big hit to graduation, especially with pitching. They seem to be coming around a little. Two of their district losses were by one run apiece to Amarillo High and Coronado. They're starting to hit better, and if Ashby (all-state center fielder)gets hot between now and the playoffs, they might make some noise before they are through. They play Coronado for the third time tonight and that one is always good, no matter what the records are.
Now that we are closer, I thought I'd do some scatter shooting to see what 1st and 2nd round match-ups could take place if the district ended today. Granted there are a ton of senarios that could totally mess up the info below, but it's neat to see who would play who. I got the information from the DMN and only did Region 1. I did not do district 4-AAAAA because they head out west and I do not have info on those schools. If someone has no life like myself,(Old Pitcher) Wink then maybe you can see what is happening in Region 2. So here we go.....

In one of the brackets:
C-H vs. Irving with the winner facing Allen.

Duncanville vs. FM or Marcus with the winner facing Coppell.

In another bracket:
Ryan or Carroll vs. SGP with the winner facing Martin

Lamar or DeSoto vs. Lewisville with the winner facing Keller.

Like I said a TON of things can change after this weekend, but it's kinda neat looking ahead to see where I will be going to watch a game or two. Feel free to make changes or do your own "what if's".
OK, I couldn't stand it so here's part of Region 2...

Bryan Adams vs. Creekview winner gets Horn

Rowlett vs. Rockwall winner gets Newman Smith

Oh now THAT'S juicy!!!!!

And to round it out...

Skyline vs. Lake Highlands winner gets Naaman Forest

South Garland vs. Tyler Lee winner gets W.T. White

OK, fire away with some other could be match-ups

12 5-A

y-Mesquite Horn 10-2 17-8
y-Tyler Lee 9-2 20-6
Rockwall 7-4 15-9
Mesquite 6-5 11-11
North Mesquite 4-7 10-14
Longview 3-8 6-17
Tyler John Tyler 0-11 1-18

Does anyone know the scenario here? I guess Horn finished district play on Tuesday according to their record. They have played 12 games to everyone else's 11. I guess should Lee win tomorrow night, there would be some kind of playoff for first, or would they use tie breaker rules? I'm not sure really!! noidea

LA,
11-5A champion will be decided on Friday with Rowlett vs Naaman Forest. Should be a great scene at Rowlett. My nephew said the Ladder Crew is coming out in full force. But if your scenario does work it's self out it would be juicy!!!

South Garland's in and Lakeview's out?

I was not aware that scenerio has played out. Also 11-5A District Champion is still in question so presumption that Rowlett take the #2 is a bit premature, of course unlesss you are predicting these outcomes. Maybe I read it wrong.
11-5A:
If you'll see my first post on this today, I tried to make sure everyone knew that this was just a what if sort of thing. I got the info from the paper and how they had the standings then I went from there. Like I said a ton of senarios can take place and throw this totally out the window. Scatter shooting at it's finest. Smile
