I heard Ripken say the Braves vs Giants series WILL be boring before the first game started. After the announcer said: "Way to sell it, Cal", he backtracked and hinted that the pitching staffs are deep, and offenses not as deep.
I appreciate Cal's candor, but he isn't going to make friends at the network with statements like that. That is calling it like you see it before the 1-0 "slugfest" even began. ;-)

I found nothing to be boring in last night's game. It was a very well played game, that simply ended in a 1-0 score. I'd rather that than a 11-10 slugfest.

I'm still sticking with my original Phillies/Rangers World Series prediction, but it was fun watching Lincecum deal last night...even for a Dodgers fan!
Here's Lincecum's ideal date. It's Kristina Thorson. She was an All-American pitcher when Cal won the NCAA softball championship. Would anyone like me to pick their lottery numbers or give advice on the market? I'll stick my neck out; The 1-5 Cowboys will not be hosting the Super Bowl. I would have enjoyed it more if the Jets (the other favorite) were 1-5.
