By the way, my avatar is now Sean's favorite picture...it's hard to see it, but he is the one getting a mouthful of dirt while being tagged out by eight feet trying to steal second.

He's really got a taste for that dirt huh? He's gotta' be a gritty player!

Went to the Boston College/Clemson double header yesterday. Tiger Paw Mom's son absolutely shut BC down in 6.1 innings of relief in the first game after their starter gave up all of BC's runs. Clemson lost that one 3-2, but came back and beat BC in the second game. Froze my tail off.

JerseyDad he plays on the "Dirtbags". They have three teams the 16u 17u and then the Dirtbags Team. The 17's consists of all 07's the 16's is 08's. He is an 08 and they have 4 on the team. The rest of the players are 07's. They did have a nice run at WWBA this summer at East Cobb finishing in second place. It really is a great group of people and extremely professional in the way it is ran and coached.

I always check this topic out - then it dawned on me - it has over 85,000 views and over 570 replies.
That is pretty amazing IMO.
That is pretty amazing IMO.
I'm sure there would be even more players listed if those, like me didn't prefer to remain anonymous. I'd love to brag about my son, but he doesn't like it at all. He is pretty reserved about his success and recognition.
This is usually a pretty cool group. I don't think you will get bombarded with autograph and ticket requests.
Infidel,
I think you posted in the wrong topic.
This is a list of players from the HSBBWEB community.
It isnt bragging - its a list.
As you told me - if you dont care for the list - just ignore it - and move on.
P.S. Since you appear to be new to the site - I must warn you - Bragging is also OK on the HSBBWEB. In fact - it is encouraged. Enjoy

Don't get me wrong, I love this list. I just want to remain anonymous. I imagine others feel similarly. I was amazed at the number and thinking it could be even higher.
I was reading a thread a little while back where a dad's son was identified by another poster. He had hoped to remain anonymous and thus, never had his son listed here. On another thread, I put a couple of things together and PMmed a poster who looked like he was inadvertantly identifying himself even though he was not listed here. He corrected his post.
Bottom line, it's my son who wants the privacy.

My son is Corey Laub, catcher. He is our "star". tough kid, short and a bit chubby, but strong and LOVES to catch. very good defensive catcher wanting to play at the D3 level after this school year, his senior year. We want his dream to come true!!!
My high school junior(class of 2008)is Noah Donch. 5'9" 170 lbs.
He's played in every position throughout his career but has primarily been a varsity catcher or DH.
He's of above average intelligence, but his focus has been solely on baseball ever since his high school coach told him that he's good enough to play at the college level. He intends to spend the remainder of the summer playing the most competetive baseball possible, doing serious career exploration and college searching, preparing to re-take the SAT in October, and attending college camps and showcases. He hopes to greatly improve his school grades during his senior year.
My son is 14 years old and plays in Central Oregon. He is a pitcher and can throw 84/85 mph. He has been clocked radar. I was wondering how many other kids his age are throwing that hard.
My son is now currently 13 yo, he is 5'11" and 215lbs. Plays 1b primarily and some outfield and pitches some. He plays for the U13 Columbus Sharks out of Columbus, Ohio. Their current record is 49-3, he bats typically in the 3-5 hole, avg. around .505 with I think 5 HR's all well over 300' fences. He lives and dies for the sport and has aspirations of playing in college and even further.

My son is Josh "Juice Box" Stewart. Also known as Stewie, Czonka, or Mr. Furious. 14 years old, 5'6" 133, although he'll be 5'7 140 by the time I get home from work today! And we won't have any food left in the fridge. The primary nickname came from an assistant coach - he looked so young in his first varsity season that the coaches said he ought to have a little juice box with him. Class of 2011, PK Yonge Developmental Research School (University of Florida) middle infielder, best quick release you've ever seen, and a natural hitter.

my son post on this site under this sign on .
he's the Pa state connie mack mvp for 2007.
his team won the state championships from Hatfield, Pa.
he had two bottom 7th 2 out game winning extra base hits in the series.his avgs. were through the roof.
he has been to two of your st. showcases ,and plays on a fall travel team. he trains hard and has a mastery of catching like most top seniors as a freshman . he really has that extra intangible's part covered . now if i could just get his arm /leg speed up to show case better . his transfer time is on par with alot faster catchers with a pop time in 2.10 -2.15 throwing @ 71 mph

God bless us all.
Say hi to assistant coach Graham Sikes (He is new at Notre Dame this year)he is a great catching coach and a real good person to tell you what they look for on a MLB level, past MLB scout.
Tell him Jerry and his son Michael says hi. He gave my son some of the best private lesson when he was at JMU last year. Sorry to see him leave.

My son, Jonah Klees, started the year getting cut from the varsity baseball team at Mt Carmel HS in Chicago. He surprised everyone by working with a pitching coach, playing on an excellent travel team, Top Tier Americans, and getting recruited by the Ivy League. Amazingly, Jonah will be playing for the Harvard Crimson, fall, 2008.
Jonah plans to pitch for MC's varsity team, although he still has to try out. He's 6'2, 195 and a RHP. If he played his junior year he would have batted and acquired some stats. As it is, he learned you better get along with your coach.

Whoa,,,he is a big kid at 5'11". for 13, he is projectable to be a very tall athletic framed kid so I'm going to go out on a limb and say he should be very sought after by scouts one day

Those are good pop times for his age. remember he's only a freshman....try to save his arm and shoulder too.....does he pitch. he sounds like a true winner. what were his batting averages in those tournaments that he hit those game winners in?
