Is anyone familiar with the PONY 14U world series in Washington, PA? Son is playing and it starts Friday. It looks like a great weekend is ahead - especially the champions game ( it was explained to us the players assist disabled kids to play a game). Do the teams get to interact alot or trade pins or gifts? Looking for tips on parking or any other info.

Thanks in advance.

My son played there last year. Outstanding tournament, great field. I would recommend catching a Pirates game, if you can. The players do assist disabled kids in a game between their scheduled games. My son loved it. As to parking, it gets packed at the games so you want to try and get there a bit early. You won't have any trouble parking but you might have a bit of a walk. PONY does a great job with this tourney and there is, definately, interaction among the teams. They traditionally trade something with the other team (team hats, team t-shirts, etc.) the first time they play them. I did not see pins traded (like at Cooperstown, for instance). Needless to say, you will see some great baseball.
