Funny about the window though, the only one that was broken, was by one of his team-matees during a team dinner during their senior year, and the did that sending the bat threw the window.
We never used it for throwing from the front. At this depth it was too dangerous. We only used it for tee, side and rear toss, so it didnt need a 4th side. (HaverSon also used it for the weighted ball pitching routine.)
We bought the Plastic-Clad wire rope and industrial strength wire ties at Home Depot.
re: Am I correct that for each side you tightly string the plastic-clad rope between two eye bolts (twice on each side wall and once on the end(s)? Yes, and this was where we used the clamps, to keep the wire rope flown and tight.
re: Does the rope weave thru the net (net hangs directly on the rope) Yes, although the path is obviously linear. (HaverMom did that part) She says you must remember to attach the rope to the net (on the ground) before you mount the wire rope to the truss. (This last part is at least a 2-person manuever, we used 3 people.)
For our purposes, and I suspect most peoples, the net should be able to slide out and back, but bundle and hang overhead when not in use.
