Possible CT draft picks

If I had to pick one out of high school - it would be Karl.

I would not worry about it--- they have the best of both worlds-- a college committment and the draft possibility--how bad is that!!!!

Being from Connecticut and seeing some of these guys play I can tell you that Zeid has a chance and so does Carnigan, Wyner, and Meyer.

Faced Meyer, can bring it when he wants to and I've heard he's touched 94 on occasion. Definitely has size but not sure about his off speed stuff.

I've faced Gisolfi and he really isn't good enough to get drafted even though he is a very good college recruit. He has the size just not the fastball or command to play in the pros. His curveball and fastball are both below average for pro ball and you can't survive in the pros without an out pitch and command.

Karl doesn't throw hard enough as a pitcher but has size. As a position player his bat doesnt play THAT big that he could be drafted as a first baseman.

I'm not familiar with Tarsi or Gianini but I'm pretty sure if they were good enough to get drafted I would have read about them or heard of them.

Bottigliero is a type a club might take a chance on if he has a big spring because of his bat. The question with him is that he isn't ver projectable at 5'10" 195. He has a cannon arm (88mph) and runs an average 7.0. Scouts say the speed is more playable than the time indicates. He has comitted to a Junior College which might be a turn on to scouts if he has a huge spring with the bat. Even though he has already proved he can hit for power and average consistently. I believe he hit 5 homers in one week as a Sophomore.

What High School does Meyer attend? Has he committed to college?
