My father, Jack Tatusko, recently became head coach of a very small, private, Christian school in Northern Kentucky called Calvary Christian High School. Unfortunately for him he is inheriting a program that has $0 of funding and is in need of some equipment. He is looking for some donations or somewhere that he could buy at cost catchers equipment and gloves (all positions). I told him I would do what I could to help, and my first thought was to post on here.

If you have any leads please shoot me on here, or email me. Thank you in advance for anything that you can do.

In return for it, he would put up signage for advertsing for the company.

God Bless
Ryan Tatusko

Ryan I used to be a head coach in Kentucky and I believe the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association would be a huge help.

Have him get in contact with John Morris Head Coach at Louisville Eastern HS who is president of the KHSBCA about how to become a member of the association. I have no doubt that Coach Morris can help him get started on gathering equipment.

One way they might be able to help is the association hands out a Field Grant for each of the four sections the state is broken down. Now the purpose of the grant is to make improvments on the field. The association put me in charge of the field grant when it was first created and I got to create the criteria in selecting who wins. I'm not sure who's in charge of it now but I would think they would expand the criteria to include equipment like you're asking for.

Another way they can help is the association has an email list that you can contact every member of the association. It's very helpful when it comes to scheduling and when I was trying to gather information to select the winner of the field grant. What your dad can do is send out a mass email to every coach in the association. By doing this there might be some schools that could donate equipment to your dad's school.

One thing I can say about the KHSBCA is that the vast majority of guys are committed to being first class. The guy who replaced me used the email list to buy a field tarp very cheap and all he had to do was pick it up. So my old school is about 40 minutes west of Elizabethtown and he drove to Ashland to pick the tarp up from Boyd Co HS. Without the association there is no way in the world those two schools would have ever been able to make that transaction.

Have your dad contact John Morris at Louisville Eastern HS or Chris Decker at Greenwood HS in Bowling Green and either one of those guys can help him become a member so he can take advantage of the field grant and email list. Membership is pretty cheap too - when I left Kentucky 3 years ago the cost was less than $50.

Here is the website for the association

Best of luck to your dad.
