GGGIILLL THE DEEAALLL HHOOODDGGESS
BBBUUUDDD HHHAAARRELLLSSON woops! Be right back!
Heres a weird baseball link - The Bambino pic my grandad gave to me - circa 1923 - and then - about 80 years later his daughter and my son.
Shep,
What a great game.
A lifetime of memories.
The levels of achievement - or failure - dont mean a darned thing - but the memories of the experiences mean everything.
God was kind IMO.

WOW! Now that was awesome ITS! The pics of Darin as a player are also really good. The younger one has a nice windup but ask him to work on pinching backleg in a little more and try to get power-v in right knee for more velocity and power from lower core. Shep's .02
Shep - he plays CF now.
Pitching is just for high school fun.

Hope LadyNMom and MN-Mom will forgive our love for the game! L-N-M must have me on her ignore list

Shep....I most certainly do not have you on my ignore list....and I'm not the one paying for the space on this website.....and I mean that in the kindest and sweetest of terms.....and in complete deference to all the nice people who post here.....but not addressing anyone in particular and/or pointing to one poster!
Calculate the cost of the bandwidth used - and send me the bill.
I will gladly pay it.
And I will kick in a few extra bucks too - just for the heck of it.
And here is another pic.

Thank you for the kind words Ma'am. The umpire at the end of the "No Crying in Baseball" clip from "League of their Own" taught me to treat each and everyone of you like you were my very own mother Good night Moms, peace.
Shep....I'd rather be thought of as a sister!
This guy was good too. Until his snout got too big.
You got it LadyNMom. We are about the same age Forever Young-Rod Stewart

MNMom,
Good point Julie. You are right.
Here's one of my all time favorites. A point of impact shot.
It was #2 of the day - in the 2003 High School sectional quarterfinals. It was the nail in the coffin. They just wouldnt stop throwing the heat.
or as they say around here "There's the dagger!"
I'll see your Jim McAndrew and raise you the 1969 NEW YORK MET TEAM
Shep,
Now you have gone and done it. LOL
I will see you the whole team - and raise you 1 Jerry Buchek.

I love the old-time photos and the pics of some "webster sons"! Lots of fun!
Julie
P.S. I hope those involved will pardon me, but I removed a few posts and re-opened this thread so everyone can enjoy the great pics. (Not sure which moderator locked it earlier, but thank you.)

My son and I, together, are enjoying the pics too.
But I do want to clarify that the photo posted by itsinthegame of me is NOT from the early 70s. Or else maybe it's not me. I'm not sure which, but I do know I'm not quite that old. And I have never been a Mets fan, sorry. Minnesota Twins all the way!!!

How about this one - it is almost 85 years old. Actually about a quarter inch thick - like a small cardboard cutout

MN-Mom,
Is the stadium going to be a dome inside the Mall of America?

How about this one - 1937
Look at the young Joe DiMaggio - 2nd from left 2nd row - and Lou Gehrig 3rd from right 2nd row.

NY City Have a good day board! peace, Shep
Shep - this one is for you.
He was a really good guy IMO. I knew him since I was a little kid - and as luck and life would have it - he wound up working for a real estate company in NY City - and we stayed friends - and went to weddings and stuff together.
The late Tommie Agee. He was a really nice person.
