Gore is a genius and if you don't believe me just ask him

For years Gore and his ilk told us that Global warming would cause less snow. See for instance this video with many prominent (dopey) California politicians lecturing us:

And now that we are getting more snow, you guessed it - global warming. Brilliant, just brilliant.
BOF not looking for any sympathy, just amazed at the fact game may be postponed because of snow. Believe me I feel for the people and players on the east coast, Midwest, Mideast and even in the South this winter. I went to school on Colorado and got a good taste of it there. We get snow all the time on Mt. Diablo, Mt. Tam and Mt Umnumum (something like that) but this will be the 3rd time in 50 years.

As for Al Gore, if it snows 3 more times in the next 40 years here, he may have a point, but I'll most likely not be around to see it.
Tool,

That storm should be here in So Cal by Friday night or early Saturday morning. Snow levels are predicted to be pretty low in our area too...son's first official scrimmage is scheduled for this Saturday, but will more than likely be rained out or even possibly Snowed Out?

BOF,

I get it...we don't have much to complain about, especially in regards to the eastern portion of the states. However, if we indeed get "Snowed Out" it would be pretty strange...equivalent to a few friendly small EQ's for our eastern friends. Razz

Ummm....another foot of snow due tomorrow here. That makes about 120 inches so far this year. I ain't complaining, I got the tools to handle it but I am not really feeling the sympathy. Don't get me wrong, you can have California. Does anybody but Al Gore believe in Global Warming?

I don't recall TOF asking for any sympathy...it's just unexpected in these parts.. "you can have California" ? What is that about?
There's around 37 million of us living here these days, most of us related to folks that came from somewhere else...like PA.

As a matter of fact, yes. "[T]he leading international network of climate scientists has concluded for the first time that global warming is 'unequivocal'..."

But it is meaningless to discuss climate in connection with a single storm or heat wave.

It will be fun to see if it does snow.

Agreed. But it is also meaningless to discuss climate change mitigation in light of the hopeless debt that prevents investment in replacement energy systems that have no market incentives and would take at least fifty years to become a significant source in the global economy.

1000 dissenting scientists

If only the scientists could get on the same page. Follow the money.
