4 deep in quality pitching (with 2 on s'ships) and 3 that would be in the rotation for many teams. Not to mention high quality players that didn't have to play as sophomores last season that would have started at some places as freshmen.

Heath very good and Highland park over rated unless they move in a pitcher which they usually do.

Probably the best hidden player because he played behind a college signee last season is Bradley Stone 3B or 2B. Had they had any problems or injuries he probably plays. He is better than say Preston Beck (who is a quality player) that was noted on here as a first or second teamer. Watch out for these guys they are as good as they were last year. No drop off.

There are some others too on Poteet as well as a some others from Team DeMarini a Wilson sponsored team from other local area schools.

I will give a couple of more:

Lew Nonemaker is a great pitcher (rather unknown), they have others too. When I say pitcher I mean "pitcher" he is not a thrower and will make an impact. BTW our senior leaders in Nowell and Files don't get any better. Doe at SS has 2 years starting under his belt and will also step up this year offensively.

I don't think I am hiding the fact that I know this team well by my handle "Pirate Fan."

So keep your smart remarks to yourself or go promote whoever you want its a posting board after all.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. . .

You're right about one thing: Preston Beck IS a quality player and one heck of a lefthanded hitter.
It's not against the rules to go to a school because you want to play a sport there....this decision could be made when a kid is 10 years old. It is against the rules to leave a school and go to another school for athletic purposes, but not to move somewhere cause you think your kid would look good in Blue and Gold. HP has a good reputation for all sports, I think some people check out the schools athletics before they buy a house.
HP will be OK. Just hope they can be competitive and stay out of the cellar. They do have 4 D1 signees at the moment with others in discussion. But they are over-rated. They do have 13 seniors on the roster with a likely all senior starting line-up. Now, if they could only figure out a way to run with the big boys, buy some pitching, stay healthy, not be over-rated, hit their way to a few wins, and scrap together a staff that won't get hammered by Poteet, Heath, Pierce and Forney they will stay out of the bottom of District 10. But then, perhaps that's why they play the games.

What did they say in Bull Durham? Just glad to be here. Hope we can help the ball club. Will take it one day at a time and the good Lord working, things will work out. Sounds like a good approach.

Its about to get interesting.
