Power Showcase

I have checked out their website and it seems that they have a homerun derby put on during the showcase. This kind of makes me skeptical about the showcase. So I just need any feedback from any past particapants.

My son was in it last year, it really is more of a home run derby than a showcase. They do take infield and outfield but the bulk of the program revolves around the derby. It was a lot of fun but if you are planning on travelling from KY to the one in South Florida I think you might spend your money more wisely by attending a better known showcase.

There were scouts in attendance and it was filmed by the Florida Sunshine network. Last year was the 2nd year down here. Most of the attendees were from high schools in South Florida although I did talk to a few from around Jacksonville I believe.

This one at Ohio Wesleyan college. He has his choice of this one or the PG WWBA World Underclass Championship. And since gas is a factor now he may go to the Power Showcase.
