What are the best resources out there on how to run practices? Anyone ever view the videos made my TCU or the U of Arizona on this topic? They are expensive so don't want to purchase if they are not worth it. I want to run a fast paced, everyone is always busy type of practice. It is just my assistant and I for about 20-25 kids. Any ideas or advice would be great!

Welcome to the site, Coach. I'm sure you'll get some good feedback here. Just to make sure you are aware, you can also search the forum by topic. There are several good threads on this in the archives.
Profile says you are a high school coach so I'll assume high school practice. Do have a question about what a typical practice schedule looks like especially any given weather issues. A lot may depend on what, if anything, the kids are doing during off-season and what amount of time you have between start of practice and start of season. I do think a practice routine changes somewhat from pre-season to mid-season and not sure if you have to do much indoor work ahead of the spring thaw and roll right into games (have heard many cold weather teams' first outdoor event can oftentimes be game #1 of the season). Also wondering about the group of 20-25 - do they all have similar skills or are you having to develop the younger ones while allowing the older ones to get reps.
I'd love to hear more about your situation and what you are looking for.
There's a thread called Uptempo Practice Ideas that's pretty good.
I've got all my old practice schedules saved and could send you some if it helps.
My situation is this:
20-25 kids each year in grades 9-12. JV and Varsity practice together. We have kids that go on to play in college and kids that won't ever crack the Varsity lineup so we are dealing a wide range of skill levels. We start indoors and it is usually 2-3 weeks before we get outside. I will definitely check out the Uptempo Practice Ideas thread as that is exactly what I am looking for.
old Jim Dietz of San Diego St has a couple videos out with some real good drills and practice situations. IMO
Ballcoach5 - How'd it go this year? You find or implement anything new worth talking about?
