Ladies,
I hope you are all doing well in this new year. I have a prayer request to share with you.
Some of you may know Dave Weaver, AKA "Catching Coach" in our forums. Dave has been battling rectal cancer since June of last year. He has been through some difficult and invasive surgery, but is winning the battle! His post-op biopsy was negative, showing no active cancer cells.
Now he is in the next challenging phase, chemo. He has had several rounds so far, and I believe is expecting to undergo five more rounds, two weeks apart.
Please join me in a prayer of thanks for Dave's progress so far, and pray for his continued healing and for control of his pain and discomfort during the chemotherapy phase.
Dave is also facing another difficulty with the new year. His former employer is closing its doors, so he is dealing with the loss of income while he continues to recover. There is a fund set up, "Friends of Dave Weaver", if any of you would like to make a contribution during this difficult financial time.
