Just want to ask everyone for their continuing prayers for a great outcome for ClevelandDad, who will be having heart surgery Friday.

As I posted in the thread about tomorrow's surgery, ClevelandDad / Dan means so much to our community. Most people don't have the opportunity to see all his hard work behind the scenes, but he is a key moderator who continually and consistently helps me keep an eye on things and head off potential problems.

Along with that "quiet sheriff" role, Dan frequently gives friendly, really useful advice and encouragement to members, whether they are new or have been around a long time. And when he's not busy with all of that, he manages to start interesting discussion topics just to keep things moving along.

Everyone, please keep Dan and his family in your prayers and join me in wishing him a speedy recovery!

Lord,

You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow Your healing hand to heal our friend. Touch his soul with Your compassion for others. Touch his heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch his mind with Your wisdom, that his mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Most loving Father, bring him health in body and spirit that he may continue to be that friend and supporter to so many individuals he reaches out to. Be with his loving family to give them the assurance that You are with them through this time of need. Touch gently this life which You have created, now and forever.

Amen.

Prayers from California for Dan and his doctors today...

I second that from So Cal! Dan was one of the first to welcome me to this site with a very kind PM. He was also one of the first people to congratulate my family via PM after my son committed to his college in November...Dan insisted that I post the good news and share with everyone. He's definitely one of the good guys, and I'm looking forward to a strong recovery from one of the best contributors to the HSbaseballweb.
Father,
Hear our prayer, O Lord; let our cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from us when we are in distress. Turn your ear to us; When we call, answer us quickly....

As CD faces this operation, We come to you with our fears and misgivings and ask you to put into his heart the needed courage to face the day with unwavering confidence in your goodness and protection.

May the knowledge that you do not slumber nor sleep while he is in a deep sleep, be an assurance to him that he need not worry nor be afraid. Calm his nerves, put his mind at ease and, in Your mercy, forgive us all of our sins.

Give to the surgeon a steady hand and the skill to do his task with ease and perfection. Give to all his loved ones the reassuring faith that you are with us, the Keeper of the body and the Lover of our soul! Calm all their anxieties during the coming hours of the operation.

Into Your Hands we entrust his well being. All this we ask, Father, in the Name of Jesus and through the merits of His Most Precious Blood...

Thank you each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart!

Your prayers and good wishes were answered. I am so thankful right now. I already feel much better than I have in years. God is great and the technology is simply amazing these days. I'll post more later this week.

Thanks again everyone. I feel blessed to have so much support
