The way I read the phase 1, 2 and 3 guidelines, youth sports could return during phase 2, under social distancing, is that how most of you view it?

Depends on the governor of each state. Knowing our governor, he would do that tomorrow.
Wife and I read it as phase 1 as long as the sports venue has appropriate crowd seating. Probably will need to remove bleachers which don’t get used much anyway. As TPM stated, the governors will likely decide this
The governors have the final say. I’m betting most governors won’t allow sports until the fall. At the moment CA’s governor is saying no sports at any level period until next year.

That would be against the guidelines, and imo not a good idea.

RJM - looks like its the mayor of LA who did this not the governor and I can't tell if he means no sporting events or no fans. If baseball or Football are playing elsewhere to empty stadiums, at a min, I would think he would have to allow those sports to play in LA under the same circumstance. Possibly he doesn't cave and those teams play outside of LA. Maybe I missed the gov news, I hope he doesn't mandate no sports in the state until 2021, it's only April 17th and a lot can change.

Are you all talking about going to an MLB game or high school? I miss professional sports but am much more keen to see the return of recreational and travel sports. And from some twitter comments I’ve seen from some MLB stars, the kids are more anxious to get out there too.
I miss sports (any sport!) soooo much that I may have to watch the NBA and NFL drafts....that is how sports starved I am.
I'm beginning to feel like Jack Torrance at the Overlook Hotel. Wendy...I'm home!
