Private school districts in VA?

The Big one around the Richmond area is the Va Prep League- Collegiate, St Chris, St Annes Belfield, Woodberry Forest, Trinity Episcopal, ChristChurch, Fork Union, and Norfolk Academy-although I think Norfolk dropped out of the prep league this year. In SW Va the VIC is big-North Cross, Hargrave Military, Fishburne Military, eastern mennonite, Covenant, Carlisle, Roanoke Valley Christian, LCA, and I think 4 others. not sure about NOVA and Hampton

In NOVA...the toughest private school conference up here is the WCAC (Washington Catholic Athletic Conference). It includes some MD and DC schools, as well as VA:

Good Counsel (MD)
St. Mary's-Ryken (MD)
McNamara (MD)
St. Johns (DC)
Gonzaga (DC)
Carroll (DC)
O'Connell (VA)
Paul VI (VA)
Ireton (VA)

There is the MAC and IAC as well.

Norfolk is still in VPL. At least was in FB and basketball this year. They play in both TCIS and VPL. Play DH's on Saturdays in VPL (travel reasons and TCIS schedule). Unfortunately for them, they have not have the pitching depth or talent for that type of schedule the past few years. Not positive, but believe they were 0-14 in VPL last year.

I am told they will be much improved from last year...didn't lose much at all...

We hardly ever lost when I roamed the halls there from 1970-74! Football and basketball rocked as well.

Don't count Norfolk Academy out. Chris Dotolo is the best coach I've seen here in Tidewater in my 15 years here. My son learned more from him in one legion ball season than his four years in HS.

Heard good things about Dotolo. Hope he brings it back. Just saying in recent years depth hasn't been there to play in two leagues. Were you at NA 1970-74??

No, I was at Gonzaga in DC back when the swift kick in seat was a daily ritual(which we all needed!)

Dotes is a class act; no nonsense, always teaching, praises a lot and jacks them up when needed. He'll bring the program back if he gets some guys to work with.

So for D1, D2 and D3 ... these are the conferences?
