So I am in the market for a new catchers mitt and a new fielding mitt (third and second). I have a list of gloves that I am looking at for both positions. For third base and second I am looking at the C.J. Wilson a2k, and I am looking at the rawlings pros15mtbr. For my catchers gloves I am looking at the a2k pudge and the pro preffered catchers mitt.

Don't think you can go wrong with either one, both are high quality.....probably comes down to personal fit
You may wish to consider the SSK catcher's mitt and the SSK maple bats.

My son got an A2K catchers mitt a year ago and the leather was beautiful, fit and function were excellent. But...it broke in too fast, and since it has gotten a ton of use over the past year, it is already getting too soft. Built wonderful, but not to last so it seems.
We picked up a Rawlings Pro Preferred and he's only part-way into the (much longer) break-in process.
If your catcher's mitt is broken in too easy, you will have a tenancy to catch only one handed = pass balls. One hand catchers do not shift or frame the pitch.
They become "lazy". We always travel to Australia with pro scouts who are minor league catching instructors.
Find a catchers mitt that will enforce two hand catching.
My son's best friend is the Cubs catching instructor.

There are a lot of discussions on catcher's mitts on this site Some of the older one's refer to the Pudge Glove as the 2403.
