MLB scouts usually come early on in the season and then late near the draft, it depends how you looked early on.

Good example. A GA Hs player was being heavily scouted early on in the seaon and then they stopped coming all togther, the dad was sorta freaked out, though they all lost interest. They Came to see him at the end of the season and after a few good showings at MLB teams pre draft workouts, he was selected in the 2nd round

No Way ...

My son is a college junior. He was not the prototypical "high potential" pitcher in high school. A lot has changed in college ... he has been scouted pretty heavily this spring, but as is always the case, the scouts tend to "disappear" for a while and then re-surface as the draft draws near. At least ... that is what we keep telling our son laugh
