What: Prospectwire Main Event Showcase
Where: Disney Wide World of Sports, Home of the World Baseball Classic and Atlanta Braves Spring Training. Main Stadium and 2 Braves Spring Training Fields behind the LF wall will host this Event.
When:Saturday, October 28th, 2006 - Full Day
Who:This event is by invitation only. Players can request an invite or join the waiting list for any available open spaces that need to be filled by clicking "Register Now" on the Disney Main Event webpage and telling us about yourself. Invitations go out in 2 weeks to top players across the country, mainly in the southeast. College coaches from D1 to Juco across the country have been invited, as well as scouts.
More Information: Click the banner on top of the home page at www.prospectwire.com
Extras:Since it is being held at Disney, Prospectwire and Walt Disney have worked out special Disney hotel rates and and reduced priced theme park admissions for all players, family and friends attending this event. Family or friends can attend a theme park for reduced price while you or your son is competing in the showcase. These can all be ordered through Prospectwire.
Apparel:Every player attending this event will receive a Prospectwire shirt, made by Under Armour.
Video: The entire event is videotaped using 3CCD high quality digital cameras. The video is edited "TV Style" using multiple angles, split screens, slow motion shots, close-ups, etc for video footage that a coach or scout can actually make use of. These videos have scouting reports from the event attached on screen so a coach or scout reviewing the showcase to get a 2nd look or even a 1st look, knows your velocity as you are running the 60, and vise versa. All of these videos go on Prospectwire's website. They are viewable after the event for free. No need to register, no need to become a member.

Every Prospectwire event is an all-inclusive event. No hidden charges, no membership fees, no website fees, no videos fees. Every staff member at the event is either a former major college player, current or former professional player.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm always available via e-mail.

Thank you,
Matt Bomeisl Director Prospectwire www.prospectwire.com matt@prospectwire.com

saw the prospectwire website and it is pretty **** sweet. the video is real clear over the internet and really like the velocity in the corner and fielding, and hitting videos. i have never seen anything like this.

can my coach recommend me to this event?
What do i have to do to attend the disney event?
i play for southridge high school in miami. i am a sophomore so not being heavily recruited yet. would like to go to the event and get my video on the site so coaches in college and scouts can see me so they can see my potential early on. please let me know. thank you.

Jorge,

Your coach at Southridge can recommend you for this event. Please e-mail me and I will give you my phone number, or give me his phone number so I can call him.

As for putting your video on the site, we don't accept videos "blind". This does not benefit a player. Everything we do is driven from our showcase events, and must be verified by us. To be honest, without an accurate velocity reading on your arm strength or 60 yard time, or scouting report, your video won't do you much good. In order for a college coach to watch your video and make use of it, he needs to see relevant, verified information attached with it. This information is obtained at our events.

As for not being heavily recruited yet, you are a sophomore. NCAA rules prohibit college coaches from contacting you until July 1st after your junior year. You can not receive phone calls, or even talk to a coach and say more than "hello". All they can really do at this point is send you camp brochures. You can call them as much as you want to, as long as it is you initiating and paying for the call.

Hope this helps.
