Proud Mama here, our 2017 RHP signed today, making it official, he is very excited to be attending Sewanee: University of the South - D3 program.

Grateful to this site for all the information, insights, advice, recruiting timeline, and incredibly helpful folks.

As our high school season begins to wind down, I am looking back at all the years of hard work and fun it took to get him to this day. And I'm also looking ahead at the seasons to come.

Best comment from today's ceremony was a sidebar comment from an alum of a classmate's future college, "He gets to play for four more years." - the chance to play at the next level  - and what a gift that is.

Many Thanks.

P.S: I'm attaching a photo taken by my husband today - that captures the day. His classmates supporting him and signing teammates in panorama. On the far left, his fellow pitcher and the far right, our son - both senior pitchers at the school.

Congrats from one mamma to another.  It's a wonderful rollercoaster ride.  You have some pretty incredible memories about to be made.  I've learned a lot about our relationship and about my son during this experience.  All the hard work we put in as parents pays off during this time of their life.  It's hard to let go but rewarding when you can and know they are ready to start trying to fly on their own.  CONGRATS to you and your sons hard work.

Thank you to each of you, and to #1BBALLMOMFAN - really appreciate your kind words. We are thrilled for him and for the opportunities to come. But as one poster said, NOW starts the hard work. Balancing academics, athletics and social life will be a challenge but really good for him.
