My son's going to play in the PSCL this summer. Just like college, it's a "good fit" for the family in general. It's our home state and when we come home in the summer from abroad, we generally stay with relatives because Embassy Suites is too expensive for an 8-week stay Eek

I like the additional competition they've set up against WCCBL teams, and I like that the opportunity exists to get a WCCBL call-up.

What's with the mushrooms? When I attended WSU way back when, I recall a stoner dude on our floor recruiting people to go out into the Palouse with him because he had some shrooms and some crayons. I opted out.

The Ostoms mushroom packaging facility is right next door (actually across the street) from the RAC. They are going to move, supposedly but there are times when the odor is quite noticeable. My son has played a lot of games at the SkyHawks facility also right next to the farm and it never really was that overpowering. Of course I grew up next to a hog confinement in Illinois so nothing smells that bad when I compare it.
Nope, not that one although there have been a few piggies eating at the trough there.

Lived in Joliet area as a kid, moved across the state to outside Galesburg IL as a 12 year old, then moved to the great metropolis of Monmouth Illinois for high school.

Yahoo.

Interestingly the confinement out here looks eerily similar. Same bunch of piggies as well. I only live about 15 miles from this one.

Papermill's smell bad and cover a much wider area with there odor.
But I've been by that Mushroom farm in Lacey.
And it can smell something awful at times.

But if were talking smell, and I mean really SMELL.

Nothing beats that Cattle Plant in the middle of summer on a hot 110 degree day next to I-5 near Bakersfield, Ca.
That Stink's.
