Question about filling out a Draft Card

My brother was called last night by a MLB team asking him for his information like his SSNO and Middle name etc so they could complete their Draft Card.

Does anyone know what this "Draft Card" is?

They need all that information filed to be able to draft him. Obviously it is a club that is turning him in. That is what you are calling the "draft card"!
