I know pitchers are responsible for runs scored as a result of any wild pitch they throw. My question is: What about runs scored as a result of the relief pitcher's wild pitch?

Ex: Relief pitcher enters the game with 1 out, runners on 1st & 2nd. A wild pitch advances runners to 2nd & 3rd. Run scores on a 4-3 grounder. Pop up ends inning.

Is the run earned for original pitcher? Intuitively, I'd say No, but I couldn't find it specificly stated in rules.

It would be an EARNED run. Sound unfair because the run resulted from the "mistake" of the relief pitcher with his wild pitch. Howevere, If you think about it most HITS result from a pitcher's "mistake" too. A "mistake" could be a fast ball down the middle, a hanging curve ball, or a wild pitch. The starting pitcher, if he puts runners on, stands to be charged with those runs if the releif pitcher fails to do his job properly.
