I know pitchers are responsible for runs scored as a result of any wild pitch they throw. My question is: What about runs scored as a result of the relief pitcher's wild pitch?
Ex: Relief pitcher enters the game with 1 out, runners on 1st & 2nd. A wild pitch advances runners to 2nd & 3rd. Run scores on a 4-3 grounder. Pop up ends inning.
Is the run earned for original pitcher? Intuitively, I'd say No, but I couldn't find it specificly stated in rules.
