A couple of weeks ago my sons high school coach told him that a college scout was coming to watch him pitch.(he's a junior in the Varisty rotation) Game day game and it looked like a possible rainout. The game was played, but we did'nt see any signs of a scout being there. I emailed the coach and asked if he knew what happened. He said he did'nt know if he was there or not and has'nt heard anymore about it.The college seems to have a real interest in my son, the head coach has called the varsity coach a couple of times to ask about him. Any ideas on what, if anything, we should do? Thanks

Colleen, As usual I do agree with TRHit that you should relax, but at the same time “relaxing” does not eliminate your need to be proactive. You should have a “marketing” plan that includes some type of exposure for your son to the college coaches. There are many ways to do this including letters, videos, showcases, summer team, and emails. Not trying to define exactly what TRHit was saying but I take it to mean that you shouldn’t worry about what you or your son have no control over.
