As Iwas watching the ark. vs va game on espn tonight with my friends we were thinking about this scenario...

if a college junior goes undrafted after his junior season would he be eligible to sign asa free agent or something like that. (even though he did not get drafted) I know this would probably never happen as I am not sure if it ever has or anything like that being that obviously if you weren't drafted after your junior year it would probably make more sense to just finish out college and all but this just got me wondering. maybe a stupid question but it had me pretty curious as to if it is any way possible.

I do know of a particular local player who did sign after his junior season after being undrafted. I have no clue as to why he chose to go that route, but I do know it has happened previously.

One possibility would be kids that might not be eligible for their senior year? Or kids that have become disgruntled at their school for whatever reason.
